Tong Luo's art is a compelling combination of light and contrast, specializing in landscapes and figurative work that depicts people moving along in their daily rhythms and routines. Born in the Henan Province of China, Tong came to find his artistic inspiration while traveling high atop the Tibetan plateau. We asked him to share his unique experiences encountering the people of this beautiful yet tragic land, and the moving artwork he creates to honor it.
